Cafe 64…and Ice Cream
Went to Cafe 64 last Friday for lunch. The pastries there are very good, and the price is pretty reasonable when you consider other options near by (for pastries / rolls that sort of thing); i would go far as to say that they are probably cheaper (defined as quality / cost) that Perera & Sons!
Anyways, wanted to have an ice cream. The way they served it was what caught my eye. They had the serving dish in some cooler. I thought that was neat :) (ice water too is kept in a glass in a fridge..) the ice cream was good, with chocolate topping and nuts. Hmmm there was one thing though – they gave it with a plastic spoon (instead of proper cutlery). It really doesn’t matter – but would have been nice to have a solid spoon though…
btw, their watalapan is great (generally, sometimes they get it a bit wrong…) and the chocolate moose always is..

By he way keep rocking…
Its next to Galadari.. Go down Gall road towards Galadari. At the round about, go towards Intercon, and at then do a u turn and head back towards Gladari. Before you reach the round about again, you will find 64 to your left…
btw, they have tasty milk toffees too…but they seem to run out of it most of the time….
It’s actually part of the Galadari Hotel.
The chocolate mousse served at any of the cafes/restaurants at the Galadari is the best in Colombo, I would say.
