Thank you Airtel
Dialog slashed prices (again). Getting ready for the (much delayed) launched from Airtel. I am waiting for them to cut data rates. When that happens, I may actually surf using my phone.

i think it has more to do with dialog’s massive reduction in profit than to do with airtel. i hear they’re incurring huge losses from dtv and broadband and it’s the mobile profits that are keeping them afloat.
yup..pissu perera is right….
Dialog hasn’t even matched what they earned last yr same quarter… troubled times lead to such decisions too..
… by reducing prices, they are indirectly reducing there profit (assuming price reduction is not offset by higher usage). They may be trying to get more people in to the network (network effect) and hope they don’t shift to Airtel. I for one shifted to Dialog because most of my closest friends where in that network… not really sure whether I will shift to Airtel…
A cool 1000 minutes of talk time… Wonder how much of it, I would use up..
How about you guys? uhm, females are said to have a few centres for speech :P hee hee
I think this is actually being prompted by the Mobitel Upahara offer.
Dialog are killing themselves and taking the rest of the industry with them but it benefits consumers.
I am looking forward to the following month’s bill…
I’m not talking in favor of this company or that, but Dialog is shit – or was, when I was there last. They actually had a very large chunk of the mobile market and thought they could do anything they want. Treated customers pretty shit.
Back in last year, I had a dialog pre paid package and I have subscribed to this service where you get totally incoming free for Rs 6/= day or something like that. Then later I shifted to Mobitel and wanted to discontinue that service. And when I called the customer care, they said I have to pay some money if I were to disconnect that service!
I was like WTF?
It’s OK if I have to pay for some service, but I have to pay for NOT using that too?
